SILOPOR CERTIFIED ACCORDING TO ISO22000:2005 STANDARD

The demands of modern societies, the objectives that our customers have conveyed to us in this context, and an increasing awareness of Silopor’s social and economic responsibility have for some years moved us towards a greater concern in the area of food quality. Thus, since July 2006 we implemented the HACCP – Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points system – and soon we decided to move in a more comprehensive direction for approval of the Food Safety Management System (SGSA) and subsequent certification.

SGS – Sociedade Geral de Superintendência, S.A., was the certifying entity of our process, and the respective audits were completed in July 2009.

So, we are pleased to communicate that all the company’s facilities – Trafaria Port Terminal, Beato Port Terminal, and Vale Figueira Silo – are certified in food safety under the NP EN ISO 22.000:2005 standard for reception, handling, storage, treatment, drying, dispatch and transport of grains and other food solid bulk.
Silopor has been certified since 12 August 2009.
