With an overall capacity of 340,000 tons, our facilities have sufficient capacity to receive and store during the course of a year all Portuguese imports of grain and flours, i.e. 3.4 million tons on average.

1 Reception

With silos in Trafaria, Lisbon and Santarém, Silopor is able to receive all types of agricultural bulk foods by land and sea, including Panamax and Capesize ships.

2 handling

The unloading capacity installed at the Trafaria Port Terminal is 2500T / hour; at the Beato Terminal (Lisbon) it is 1000T / hour.

3 Storage

We have a total storage capacity of 340,000 T: 200,000 T at Trafaria, 120,000 T at Beato, and 20,000 T at Vale da Figueira.

4 management

The company is certified in Food Safety Management Systems according to NP EN ISO 22000, based on the HACCP principles of the Codex Alimentarius.

5 dispatch

Silopor is able to dispatch by sea from the Trafaria Terminal and by land, either by road or by rail (from the Beato Terminal only).

6 Transport

The Silopor barge is the only vessel of its kind: it is self-propelled and operates food bulk on the Tagus River with a capacity of 2500T.

Silopor helds Type A Customs Warehouse and Temporary Warehouse status, and we act only as providers of the handling and storage service, without any connection to the products’ marketing circuits.
